Everyman & Playhouse

Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse together make up a single engine for creative excellence, artistic adventure and audience involvement. The two famous theatres have very different, distinctive styles and ‘DNA’ that contribute hugely towards Liverpool’s cultural offering. In 2004, an integrated programme across the two theatres was created, which required a new approach to marketing communication.

Uniform has worked with the Everyman and Playhouse since 2007, developing a strategy that helped both theatres achieve their objectives. Our aim was to cross-sell each theatre to the other, introducing a mainstream audience, that loves the Playhouse, with cult theatre produced at the Everyman, and vice versa. The outcome created a stronger, connected approach to show and corporate marketing that directs potential visitors to the concept ‘great theatre’ first and foremost, and then to the relevant venue.
